Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon: Meaning and Hadees

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon is commonly recited when someone dies or when we listen to someone’s death but apart from this, there are still many benefits of it that we are unaware of.

You can recite it in affliction, tribulation, when something lost, while giving payment, or in any type of trouble. This verse (ayat) has the power to bring your spoiled work back on track.

The scholars of Islam said when you take the payment from anyone recite “Bismillah Hirrah Manir Raheem” and while giving payment to someone recite “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon”

Here taking and giving payment indicates shopkeeper, cab driver, or anything related to the transaction of money. Just you have to recite while giving payment.

The scholars of Islam said the one who will acquire this habit Allah will never smite (Mubtala) him in poverty and his pocket will always be filled with money.

“We and the things called ours, everything is of Allah and made by Allah and to Him we shall return”

Describing it means we, our lives, our things of which we think that we are the owner and it’s in our authority but in reality, it’s all are in the ownership of Allah.

We only have the applications (arzi), Allah is the initiator and towards Allah, we will have our endings.

Consequently, the person who will recite these verses (ayat) in the time of affliction or trouble and keep patience, so for him not only that affliction but all the trouble and tribulations would be easy.

Hadees on Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon

The messenger of Allah Prophet Hazrat Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (pbuh) has said when someone gets loss or damage and recites this tarjeeha, Allah will give him the better thing than the last one.

Hazrat Ali (RA) has said when someone starts the day by reciting Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon in the morning or dawn, Allah eliminates all the tribulations of the day which would have to come on the person.

Therefore, we should have to take some time out in the morning to recite Inna Lillahi before leaving for office, school, university, or any work.

So that we could be safe from the tribulations which may come on that day. May Allah gives us the taufeeq to recite Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon daily.
